Honors & Math Placement

With the goal of encouraging both highly motivated and academically gift students to pursue rigorous coursework, Adams offers honors classes in both Language Arts and Social Science for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.  These students also may also be ready to enroll in a math course that is one grade level above their regular scheduled math.  RBUSD has established entrance criteria starting with the 2010-2011 school year, for those who are not currently in honors classes or taking an advanced math.

For those students already in honors or advanced math, students are expected to maintain a particular grade level.

Please read the below documents for details on the entrance criteria as well as the expectations for Honors Language Arts, Honors Social Science, and advanced Math Placement.
