Overview
Goals:
- To raise money for Adams Middle School.
- To promote health and physical fitness amongst the students.
100% of all monies raised will stay in Adams and go directly to the betterment of our students!
Our students will be participating in the Jog-a-thon during their Physical Education class on
Monday March 18, 2013.
Everyone will run, jog, walk around the Adams field for 20 minutes. Teachers can participate as well!

Collection Envelopes
All students and teachers will be getting an envelope with a Pledge Form. A school-wide challenge is for everyone to raise $50, students AND teachers. The envelopes are due on Friday March 8th. There will be a collection box for envelopes inside the main office.
For $50 or more raised, you get a FREE 2013 Adams Jog-a-thon T-shirt! The Adams PTSA is starting everyone off with an automatic $5.00 donation towards their fundraising efforts. You will see this indicated on the Pledge Forms.
Trophies & Plaques
There will be Trophies awarded to the top boy and girl lappers for each grade.
There will be Plaques awarded to the top fund raisers for each grade.
Opportunity Tickets
Students and teachers will earn one (1) numbered Opportunity Ticket for:
- Every two (2) laps around the field
- Every $25.00 raised.
The idea is to collect as many tickets as you can by finishing as many laps as you can during the 20 minutes, and to collect as many tickets as you can by fundraising prior to the event. The laps and the fundraising are not connected: they are two separate opportunities for students and teachers to earn tickets. The more tickets they earn, the better chance they will have to win prizes for the Drawings that will be held on Friday March 29th.
On Thursday March 28th, all students and teachers will be given their numbered Opportunity Tickets that they earned for jogging laps and collecting money.
On Friday March 29th, there will be an Opportunity Ticket Drawing. All students and teachers will have a choice to put their Opportunity Tickets inside 4 different Drawing Boxes that will be placed outside the main office. Each box will be for a different prize. Winners of the drawings will be announced on Monday April 1st.
Important to Note!
Anyone caught cheating in any way during the entire process outlined above will be automatically disqualified from the drawing and could be subject to further disciplinary actions.
