8th Grade Pali Science Camp

Camp Information

8th Grade Science Camp at Pali Institute, near Lake Arrowhead is scheduled for January 10-12, 2018!

HOW MUCH DOES 8TH GRADE PALI CAMP COST?

The cost for each student is $340. This cost includes camp and bus transportation fees. Please send a $170 deposit by Monday, November 6, 2017. You may pay by cash, money order or by check. Please make checks payable to ADAMS MIDDLE SCHOOL.

 

FINAL payment is due by no later than Friday, December 15th, 2017.

 

**Please note, if your child meets eligibility to attend Pali Camp and a deposit is made, his/her spot will immediately be reserved. Deposits are non-refundable unless your child does NOT meet eligibility or has a medical emergency. A doctor's note must be provided.  

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN PALI SCIENCE CAMP?

Pali Science Camp is available to all 8th grade students. Eligibility is based on grades, attendance, and behavior. Students who have earned a 2.0 or higher GPA and have no discipline incidents are eligible to attend 8th Grade Pali Science Camp.

 

**Space is limited to 120 students, therefore, reservations are accepted on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis.  Once all spaces are filled, students will be placed on a "wait list." We will contact you if a space opens up and your child is eligible to go.

IMPORTANT PREPARATION DATES

Monday, November 6, 2017 - Camp deposit ($170) DUE.

 

Friday, December 15, 2017 - Camp FINAL payment due with Permission Slip, Student Information Form and Medical Form.

 

Friday, December 15, 2017 - The online Pali Camp forms must be submitted!

 

Wednesday, January 3, 2018 - 8th Grade Pali Science Camp Parent/Student Meeting (Adams Cafeteria @ 6pm). The following will be addressed at the meeting:

  • Pali Camp Overview
  • Cabin Assignments
  • Pressing Questions

 

MEDICATION DURING TRIP

If your student takes ANY over the counter and/or prescribed medications, you must fill out the Request for Assistance with Medication During Regular School Day. This includes something as simple as using Dramamine for motion sickness to an inhaler at night for asthma. This form must be signed by your child's physician.

The form is DUE to the Health Clerk by no later than Friday, December 15, 2017.
