Placements for following school year for SB/WE/JB will start this week in class.

SB placement requirements for returning middle school students:
Concert Bb, Eb, F, C, G, Ab scale with arpeggios and 3rds. They will be asked to play 2 scales of director's choice. Also brief solo song of student's choice. It can be exercise from tradition of excellence book or song of their choice.

Trumpets are expected to be able to play Eb scale going up to high F, Clarinets must go over a break to higher register notes, Flutes/Saxophones must play 2 octaves. Percussion will play scales on mallets and solo song on Snare Drum.

SB placement for new incoming 6th graders:
Concert Bb for Flute, Clarinet, and Lower Brass.
Concert Eb for Alto Saxophone and Trumpet.
Arpeggios and 3rds are not required. Incoming students must send a video of them playing their scale through google classroom. If student wishes to audition in person, please make appointment by e-mailing [email protected]
