Adams Campus Closure Updates
Dear Adams Community,
I am certain you are as disappointed as I am that our final months together on the Adams campus have been suddenly halted as we join schools and universities across the nation in closing their doors to ensure the safety of our students and communities.
These are, without a doubt, challenging times for all. The world in which we now live is new and different for our students, their families and, of course, our staff. However, the one constant in the midst of all this is our unwavering commitment to educate and support (y)our students. The Adams staff has earned a well-deserved reputation for being student-first. This too remains unchanged, and I assure you that our teachers are working tirelessly to find engaging ways to teach and connect with your children during distance learning.
As we head into the final quarter of the school year and Phase 2 of RBUSD’s instructional plan, students will be learning new content based on essential standards. Should you have questions regarding what your child is learning and the ways in which they are engaging with the curriculum, please don’t hesitate to reach out to his/her teachers. Our partnership in your child’s education is more important now than ever before. We want to hear from you as we continue to refine our distance learning instructional practices.
Please know we are here to support our students and their families in other ways as well. We recognize there may be feelings of isolation, that families may be struggling with technology needs, that there might be financial needs, and so much more. We are here to support, provide resources, and ensure our school community is well-served during this crisis. As your principal, I can say with certainty and pride that, as a community, we are strong, we are cohesive, and we support one another. This has not and will not change.
