Complete the chart for each achievement after you read the following documents.
In 1-2 sentences or bullet points, write down details about that accomplishment. Next, rate on a scale (1-5) how valuable you think that accomplishment is to modern society (5 being great, 3 is average and 1 not great) and explain why.

2. Include a name and an address and insert a ‘fun’ stamp.
3. On page 1, please search for an suitable image for the topic and provide a title.

ONLY CHOOSE ONE DOCUMENT TO COMPLETE! Choose whether you believe Alexander was great or a villain. Choose the document that fits your claim and complete the body paragraph arguing your point. Cite evidence using the documents in the DBQ and/or Chapter 10.3 in the textbook. Make sure to write where you got each piece of evidence from. Sparta and Athens are in a struggle to become the most powerful city-state in Greece. Using the information in your Athens/Sparta readings, Newsela article and the TEDEd videos, you will now choose one side to join as a recruiter. Your final task will be to create an appealing and informative recruitment brochure to lure all other Greeks to join the city-state of your choice. Make sure to use the persuasive sentence starters on the 2 attached documents.

Ancient Greece Flocabulary Due!

Write a poem about a Greek god or goddess using the template given to you in class. Write the poem on a Google Doc, use center alignment, and add images.

Write your answer, using your chart, and then respond to at least two people in your class. Don't just respond with "I agree" or "I disagree". Make sure to explain why.

1. You can work alone or with a partner on this project.
2. You can create a 3D or 2D city-state. It must not be bigger than a poster.
3. You can use the materials I have in class or you can buy materials to create a more elaborate design. Both options can lead you to an A. The more elaborate design doesn't always result in an A so make sure you look at the rubric and incorporate all the features into your city-state.
This is an assessment grade!

You will not need to turn the study guide in. When you have thoroughly studied for the test, mark this assignment as done.

Read the Newsela article about the culture and society in Mesopotamia. Make sure to take the quiz and compete the writing assignment to receive full credit on the assignment.   

Visual Vocabulary for Chapter 3.2. Skim pages 62-66 i the textbook for the 8 bolded vocabulary words. Divide your notebook paper into 4 sections. Write the vocabulary word, definition in your own words, and an example, sentence or synonym for each in the box  Vocabulary Words: polytheism, priests, social hierarchy, empire, rural, urban, city-state, Sargon

Create a slideshow titling it the same way as the example and share it with your partner. Make sure both your names are on the slide. Use your notes we took in class and the textbook to create a slideshow teaching the class about the geography of Mesopotamia. Make sure to place images on each slide.
