*On leave through December 2022*
Greetings! I am super excited to be starting my ninth year at the finest middle school in the South Bay. I serve students and families whose last names start with the letters A-K. I was born and raised in beautiful Bishop, CA and spent my childhood hiking and camping in the Sierra. College brought me to the big city where I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology with a Minor in Education from Loyola Marymount University. After studying, working and volunteering in Europe, Australia and Africa, I completed my Masters in Education with an Emphasis in Counseling and my Pupil Personnel Services Credential from Cal State University Dominguez Hills. I love the outdoors, traveling, cooking, farmers markets. humanitarianism, and spending time with my family. Outside of my counseling role, I'm also a PEER Advisor. Looking forward to working with you!

Hello Eagles! I am so excited to be back for my 4th year at Adams! I joined the Adams team in 2019 as a counseling substitute and officially became a member of the Adams Family in Spring 2020! I grew up here in the South Bay going to the beach, playing water polo, and marching in the band. As much as I loved home, I chose to broaden my horizons and move across the country to attend college at Northeastern University in Boston, MA, where I received my BS in Psychology and a minor in Spanish. I went on to pursue my MA in Counseling and Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential back in sunny California at Loyola Marymount University. In my spare time I enjoy traveling the world, reading, going to Disneyland, and of course, spending time at the beach! I am looking forward to supporting you!

Hello Eagles! My name is Christopher Urquilla, I will be serving Adam’s Middle School as a counseling intern for the 2022-2023 school year. I was born and raised in the South Bay where the weather is simply the best. I enjoy being in Los Angeles so much that I decided to stay in SoCal to attend UCLA, where I have earned a Bachelor's degree in Sociology. After working as an AVID tutor and Substitute Teacher for 3 years, I decided to apply to graduate school to become a counselor. I am currently in my final year of my Masters program at LMU where I will earn a degree in School Counseling along with a Personnel Pupil Services credential. During my free time I love to hang out with friends, play catch at the beach, paint with acrylics on canvas, and watch anime. I am looking forward to assisting you all!

Hi Eagles! My name is Molly Fruland (she/her) and I am excited to join the Adams Middle School community as a Counseling Intern. I am currently finishing my final year of graduate school at Loyola Marymount University. I grew up in Morris, Illinois, and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources with a minor in Sociology from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. My love for service and social justice led me to join Jesuit Volunteer Corps, bringing me to Los Angeles. For the last four years, I have been volunteering and working in South Central Los Angeles as a teacher and continue to teach part-time. I enjoy a good cup of coffee, long walks, listening to vinyl records, and going to the beach. I hope that you will stop by the Wellness Center on Wednesdays or Fridays to say hello!
