Hi! My name is Skyler Swearingen, and I have been teaching since 2025. I am very passionate about education and committed to creating a positive learning environment where all students feel supported, respected, and encouraged to grow both academically and personally. Teaching is more than just a profession to me—it is a calling. I believe that building strong relationships with students is an important part of effective teaching.

My goal is to create a classroom community that is safe, inclusive, and welcoming, where students feel comfortable participating, asking questions, and sharing their ideas. As an English teacher, I enjoy creating engaging lessons that connect to students’ prior knowledge, backgrounds, and experiences outside of the classroom. I believe students are more successful when learning feels relevant and meaningful to their lives.

I value helping students build confidence in their reading, writing, and discussion skills while encouraging them to think critically and develop their own ideas. I am so excited for the opportunity to contribute to the RBUSD community and support students in their academic and personal growth!
