Teacher On Special Assignment (TOSA)

Welcome, Eagles! My name is Brooke Mata, and I have the wonderful privilege of being the Administrative TOSA at Adams. I have been with Redondo Beach Unified School District since 2008. Prior to working at Adams Middle School, I was a Social Studies teacher at Redondo Union for 15 years. Within that time, I taught World History, US History, Government, and AP Psychology. Additionally, I served as Activities Director for 7 years.

 

As TOSA, I support the Administration team with the daily functions of school. This includes instructional program supports and interventions, safety, and campus culture. So you may see me out on the field at supervision, working with students after school for Homework Club, or meeting with students one on one to look at academic progress or social emotional needs. 

 

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family at the beach, exercising, and attending baseball games (Go Dodgers!). If you ever see me running on the strand or shopping at a local Trader Joes, please do not hesitate to say hello!
