About Me

Welcome 6th grade students and families!! I’m excited to start another school year and help you as you begin your middle school journey. I teach both 6th & 7th grade English Language Arts.

After graduating from Cal Poly SLO, I joined the Peace Corps, where I volunteered in Panama. I began teaching through Teach For America in 2011, and have taught Middle School since then. I have a Multiple Subjects credential, a Single Subject English credential, and a Single Subject Social Science credential. I also have my Preliminary Administrative Services Credential & M.A. in Educational Administration from Cal State Long Beach. Previously, I have taught in Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., and Mississippi. In addition to teaching, I have also coached soccer, baseball, football, and cross country.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my wife (an elementary school teacher), our 2 sons, and our puppy. If you see us at the playground, the dog park, on the bike path, or around town, please say Hi! and introduce yourselves.

I enjoy being part of the Redondo Beach community, especially the Adams Eagles Family!
