About Me
Welcome Students and Families!
Welcome to a new school year! I’m excited to meet our incoming 6th grade students and families and help you begin your middle school journey. I teach both 6th and 7th grade English Language Arts and look forward to making this a positive, engaging, and successful year for all of my students.
After graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, I served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Panama. I began teaching through Teach For America in 2011 and have taught middle school ever since. I hold credentials in English Language Arts, Multiple Subjects, and Social Science, as well as a Preliminary Administrative Services Credential and a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Cal State Long Beach. I have taught in Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., and Mississippi, and have also coached soccer, baseball, football, and cross country.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my wife, an elementary school teacher, our two sons, and our puppy. We love exploring the South Bay, spending time at local parks and the beach, and being part of our community. If you see us around town, please say hello!
I’m grateful to be part of the Redondo Beach community and especially proud to be a member of the Adams Eagles family. I look forward to a great school year!
